SHAMBALLA JEWELS
Named after the mythical Himalayan kingdom of Shamballa, Shamballa Jewels unites Eastern philosophy with Nordic design traditions. The iconic Shamballa Bracelet was created by Mads and Mikkel Kornerup with the intention of creating precious jewellery that encourages us to connect to our inner compassion and wisdom. The first iconic Shamballa bracelet was created in 2001 as a custom design for music impresario Jay Z. Following the success of the design, Mads and Mikkel established the fine jewellery brand, Shamballa Jewels in 2005, in Copenhagen.
Each Shamballa jewels piece is comprised of 18K gold and diamond beads with sophisticated precious gems strung together by the ancient macramé technique. The Shamballa collection is equally fueled by innovation and tradition and each unique piece has a Star of Shamballa—two inter-crossed thunderbolts, representing the irresistible force created when creativity springs in a pure, conscious mind. This creative force is found in everyone and Shamballa invites us to explore the force within ourselves.
